Brigid Calloway

Founder & CEO

Brigid Calloway has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of science, innovation, manufacturing, and creative product development across multiple global industries. Her experience spans pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, sports nutrition, distillation, packaging, polymer chemistry, textiles, oil and gas, contract manufacturing, process engineering, quality systems, operational development, and large-scale manufacturing environments.

Throughout her career, Brigid has contributed to the research, formulation, innovation, scale-up, troubleshooting, manufacturing, and quality optimization of products and systems across a wide range of consumer and industrial categories. Her work bridges the precision of research chemistry with the real-world demands of commercialization — transforming concepts into scalable, production-ready products through formulation science, process engineering, operational systems, documentation, and quality-driven development.

Rooted in a lifelong passion for science first inspired by her father, a biomedical engineer and research chemist, Brigid built her career around understanding how chemistry shapes the products, systems, and experiences that surround everyday life. Over time, she recognized a major gap in the industry: many founders and small businesses had incredible ideas, but lacked access to real formulation education, manufacturing knowledge, operational guidance, and scientific systems that could help them build products correctly from the beginning.

That realization became the foundation of Magic Formula.

The Mission Behind Magic Formula

Magic Formula was created to help founders, creators, formulators, and growing businesses understand product development beyond just “making a formula.” The mission is to teach formulation the right way — from concept to commercialization — while helping businesses build stronger operational systems both upstream and downstream.

This means understanding:

  • ingredient functionality,

  • formulation structure,

  • processing behavior,

  • manufacturing realities,

  • scale-up,

  • documentation,

  • stability,

  • quality systems,

  • troubleshooting,

  • operational flow,

  • and the consumer experience at the end of the process.

The goal is not just to help people create products. The goal is to help people create better products, stronger systems, smarter businesses, and safer, higher-quality consumer experiences through real scientific thinking and applied formulation knowledge.
